Your Child's Photos and the Door of the Evil Eye
The boy had recovered after ruqyah. The mother posted a photo again. She said — What can I do, I just feel like it. The Shaykh's answer is not about blaming anyone.

The Scene the Shaykh Described
A da'i from Albania asked the Shaykh — Here, people post photos of their children on Facebook, and then the children fall ill. Why does this happen?
A mother had come with her son. After ruqyah, the boy got better. She was told again and again — Do not post photos anymore. After a few days, she posted again.
The Shaykh said this is not only a matter for that place. It is the same in Arab countries too — children, home decor, food cooked with one's own hands. Not for business; only to show look what I have made.
The Real Point
The problem is not taking photos — the problem is tabahi, that is, the mindset of showing off. That is what opens the door of the evil eye.
If someone has already been harmed, it is not their fault — this is not the place for blame. Still, the Shaykh says in a gentle voice that for some of those who do not leave this path, regret later no longer helps.
What the Qur'an Says
He said, "O my son, do not relate your vision to your brothers or they will contrive against you a plan. Indeed Satan, to man, is a manifest enemy. (Surah Yusuf 12:5 — Saheeh International)
Ya'qub (peace be upon him) told his son to keep the dream secret — even from his own brothers. Hiding blessings is part of the etiquette of the prophets; it is not suspecting anyone, it is being cautious.
What to Do Today
- Do not keep your child's photo in public posts — starting today.
- Delete or make private your old photo albums.
- Whenever you notice a blessing in yourself or your child, say — Masha'Allah, Tabarakallah.
- Recite the protective duas for your child in the morning and evening regularly.

Treatment does not work while you carry despair in your heart
When you keep up your amal for month after month and still see no improvement, one thought builds up in the heart — it will never happen for me. The Shaykh says this very thought is the greatest obstacle.
So Much Hardship for a Single Match?
The boy could not even stand — yet for two months he has been losing weight, just for one match. The Shaykh's question: How much are we able to do for shifa?
No One Ever Kicks the Stove
The heat of the stove, the splash of oil, the cut of a knife — you put up with it all with a smile. From there the Shaykh said: where there is love, hardship does not feel like hardship.
