The Scene the Shaykh Described
In the Arab lands these gatherings have names — some call it zar, some samiri, some khabiti. Music plays, the dancing goes on, and then someone falls down and starts convulsing.
The Shaykh says — in the past people used to see this and be afraid, and they would keep away. Now they enjoy it. They laugh and say, "The jinn are dancing with us too." And the one who has fallen, they egg him on even more.
The scene is not unfamiliar in our country either — the dancing at shrines and urs gatherings, the states of hal, and live content about jinn on TikTok and YouTube. The names differ, but the door is the same.
What the Shaykh Said
Fear Allah. These bodies are an amanah (a trust) — they are not our own property.
On the Day of Resurrection, every part of you, your skin, everything that pulses — all of it will be questioned. And you will be asked what you did with this body and this soul.
What the Qur'an Says
And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned. (Surah Al-Israa 17:36 — Saheeh International)
What the ear listens to, what the eye sees, what the heart runs after — all three will be accounted for. The video I watch under the pretext of curiosity is on this list too.
What to Do Today
- Leave such gatherings and events today — and do not even stay as a mere spectator.
- Stop watching curiosity content about jinn gatherings; clean up your feed.
- If someone is afflicted, do not laugh — help them by reciting the Qur'an.
- If you have gone before, do not despair; the door of repentance is open.

Treatment does not work while you carry despair in your heart
When you keep up your amal for month after month and still see no improvement, one thought builds up in the heart — it will never happen for me. The Shaykh says this very thought is the greatest obstacle.
So Much Hardship for a Single Match?
The boy could not even stand — yet for two months he has been losing weight, just for one match. The Shaykh's question: How much are we able to do for shifa?
No One Ever Kicks the Stove
The heat of the stove, the splash of oil, the cut of a knife — you put up with it all with a smile. From there the Shaykh said: where there is love, hardship does not feel like hardship.
