New people like you and come close — then pull away for no understandable reason? Again and again, in many areas of life? This has a name — Ayn al-Qabul: the evil eye striking the very side of you that is accepted and loved.
The story is usually like this
In childhood or adolescence you were everyone's favorite — countless friends, doors opened on their own, and your very presence was eye-catching.
And that very eye-catching quality became the harm — as year after year the eye kept settling on this side of you, the acceptance began to wear away, Wallahu a'lam.
The most important sign — the acceptance is not lost completely; a part remains: the beginning still happens, but it does not last.
Compare the pattern
- People are first impressed — then they drift away; contact decreases, the relationship weakens
- A project starts with enthusiasm — then stalls and goes cold
- A trip or job opportunity comes — vanishes at the last moment
- Ideas are brilliant at first — collapse in implementation
- The same story — in relationships, work, marriage, business, travel
The problem is not in the beginning — it is in continuity. The beginning is there; it is the barakah, the staying power and the ongoing acceptance that get blocked.
Remedy 1 – 4 (take paper and pen)
- Prayer on time — true acceptance is in Allah's hands alone.
- Istighfar every day — how many closed doors have opened through istighfar! Do not stop — continuity is the foundation.
- Abundant salawat upon the Prophet — the best form: Durood Ibrahim.
- Qiyam al-Layl every day — even if only 2 rakahs; in sha Allah, it is a great remedy for opening closed doors and warding off the eye.
Remedy 5 – 7
- Fajr prayer — then sit for 15-30 minutes of tasbih; the Shaykh says this increases light, barakah and acceptance, in sha Allah.
- Surah Al-Qalam — 3 times every day
- Surah Al-Qadr over water — recite aloud for 10-15 minutes every day; bathe with that water or wash your face with it — along with the dua: "O Allah, restore my acceptance and barakah"; the Shaykh says — it is tried and tested, in sha Allah.
Along with this, listen regularly to the ruqyah audio for the evil eye.
Remember the final word
Acceptance is in Allah's hands.
For whomever He opens people's hearts — no one can close them. The evil eye and hasad are merely means; the Owner is He alone.
So look at the list of remedies again — every one of them is really a return to Allah. That is the true medicine for Ayn al-Qabul, in sha Allah.
