Human Tabi'a — The Silent Pursuit of an Envious Person
The talk is always about the shaytani tabi'a or the qarin — but the most dangerous pursuer can sometimes be a human being, who can block your life without even laying a hand on you.

The talk is always about the shaytani tabi'a or the qarin — but the most dangerous pursuer can sometimes be a human being, who can block your life without even laying a hand on you.
What Human Tabi'a Means
A person — man or woman — silently watches you, repeatedly asks about you, and wants to know everything: what you did, what you bought, where you went. Though they seem interested on the surface, inside there is envy, comparison, and discomfort at the blessings you have.
They do not harm you directly — but they keep sending negative attention continuously, and that is where the danger begins.
How It Causes Harm
When someone is excessively preoccupied with you in this way, keeps linking your name with their own thoughts, keeps bringing your picture to mind — and carries hasad (envy) or malice in their heart — then, without realizing it, they keep sending out a negative energy again and again.
This may not be sihr (magic), but recalling someone again and again in an envious heart is itself a kind of summoning — and through repetition its effect appears, and Allah knows best.
Signs
- Sudden ta'attul (obstruction) in some tasks
- Recurring nightmares
- Unexplained discomfort, aversion to things you used to enjoy
- A feeling as if someone is always watching
Remember — it is not the case that every ta'attul is caused by magic or jinn; sometimes the cause is a person who never tires of watching you.
How to Recognize Them
- Asks about you unusually often
- Becomes annoyed when contact decreases
- Feels uneasy instead of being happy at your progress
- Always wants to know the small details of your life — they do not want you, they want to compare you with themselves
The Remedy — Simple but Mindful
- Do not share every piece of news and every success of yours with everyone.
- Reduce telling the small details of your life at length — some privacy is itself protection.
- Consciously keep your distance from someone who keeps asking about you again and again.
- Protect yourself — with the morning and evening adhkar, Ayat al-Kursi, Surah Al-Ikhlas, and the Mu'awwidhatayn.
- Instead of leaving your life open to a few people, widen your circle of trusted people.
Final Word
Human tabi'a is not a fairy tale — it is a dangerous behavior pattern: someone is keeping themselves attached to you through envy and negative thoughts. The responsibility of closing the door is yours — not with fear, but with wisdom.
Sometimes the solution is not a long ruqyah — wise distance is enough. May Allah protect us from every envier and every person who pursues us.
