This discussion is not an amal — it is a discussion for understanding. Why jinn enter, how they survive inside the body, what gives them strength, and why they do not want to leave — knowing these makes treatment easier too, in sha Allah.
How They Enter, Where They Live
Jinn do not enter for no reason — usually a door is opened through sihr (magic), the evil eye, accumulated hasad (envy), or an attack at a moment of weakness. After entering, it does not "sit" in one particular organ the way a human would — rather, its influence spreads through the nervous system and the centers of feeling.
- In the head — controlling thoughts and waswasa (whispers)
- In the chest — through the feeling of pressure and suffocation
- Below the waist or in the stomach — to weaken the body
What gives it strength
- Repeated sins — every sin weakens the fortress of protection
- Abandoning the adhkar — the daily adhkar shrink its space; once they are left, it gains strength
- Being immersed in obscene music and lustful desires — an environment suited to its fiery nature
- Intense anger and quarrels — at the moment of anger, a large opening is created in the body
- If sihr remains unnullified — it binds the jinn to the place
Its goal is not only to cause suffering
Its real purpose is not merely to inflict pain — it is to disrupt worship, create distance from family and friends, stir up causeless aversion, weaken willpower, and keep a person drowning in doubt.
When verses of the Qur'an are recited, especially the verses related to sihr, it begins to suffer — its nature cannot bear the Word of Allah, and Allah knows best.
Why it does not want to leave
- Fear of punishment — some entered through sihr under compulsion, and they fear returning to the one who sent them
- Attachment to the body — after a long stay it becomes accustomed to the environment, especially when the knots of sihr have not been untied
- Taking advantage of weakness — when it sees mental or physical weakness, it wants to stay
- Stubbornness — some jinn are arrogant and do not submit easily
When the downfall begins
Regular, strong ruqyah, the morning and evening adhkar, closing the doors of sin, nullifying whatever the cause may be — sihr, hasad or the evil eye — and certainty and firmness: only when all of these come together does its space begin to shrink.
It enters through a cause, stays through a cause, and leaves when the door is closed — by the command of Allah.
