The Day the Trumpet Is Blown

The appearance of the Dajjal, the descent of 'Isa (peace be upon him), the cold wind, then the blow into the Trumpet — Shaykh Bali lays out the final scenes one after another.

How the Scenes Will Unfold

First comes the Dajjal — he will claim to be the Lord, make rain fall from the sky, and bring crops out of the earth. But written on his forehead will be Kafir, and one of his eyes will be defective.

Then 'Isa (peace be upon him) will descend in Damascus and kill the Dajjal. After that, for some years people will live in peace, free of enmity.

After that, a cold wind will come from the direction of Sham — it will take away the soul of every believer. Only the worst of people will remain.

Upon them the Hour will be established. The Trumpet will be blown — whoever hears it will collapse.

The Shaykh's Answer

Rain like dew will fall from the sky — and people will sprout like crops.

The Shaykh says — the earth consumes everything of a human being, except a single bone; from that the body will be formed again. With the second blow, the soul will return to the body. Some will rise from the grave smiling, and some will rise with terror and regret.

The Evidence — The Bone the Earth Does Not Eat

كُلُّ ابْنِ آدَمَ يَبْلَى إِلَّا عَجْبَ الذَّنَبِ، مِنْهُ خُلِقَ وَفِيهِ يُرَكَّبُ

Everything of the son of Adam turns to dust, except the small bone at the end of the spine; from it he was created, and from it he will be formed again. (Sahih Muslim)Copy

Then everyone will be made to stand. It has come in the Qur'an — 'Stop them, for they will be questioned' (Surah As-Saffat, verse 24). Today's preparation is for the sake of this one sentence.

What to Do

1. In the final sitting of the salah, hold on to the dua of seeking refuge from the trial of the Dajjal.
2. Learn the signs of the Dajjal — the writing on the forehead, the defective eye.
3. Start today the amal you keep putting off by saying 'I'll do it later.'
4. Preparing to rise smiling means the small amals of today — nothing big.
