Those Who Are Pure Are Loved
Allah says that He loves those who repent, and He loves those who purify themselves (Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 222). Shaykh Bali showed how that purification is achieved.

Mistakes Made in Wudu
Performing wudu with the tap fully open — the Prophet ﷺ used to perform wudu with one mudd of water and bathe with up to five mudd of water. Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of Shaytan (Surah Bani Isra'il, verse 27).
Pronouncing the intention aloud — the place of the intention is the heart; pronouncing it is not proven from the Prophet ﷺ. At the beginning, just say “Bismillah”.
Rinsing the mouth and the nose separately three times each — the proven method is to rinse the mouth with half of a handful of water and use the other half for the nose; and to do this three times.
Washing only the forearms without washing the hands — washing the hands at the beginning is Sunnah, but washing the hands along with the forearms is obligatory (Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse 6).
The Correct Method of the Bath
In the bath for janabah, not soap — water; janabah is not removed by soapy water.
First wash the private parts with water and soap. Then perform a complete wudu, then pour water over the head three times, the right side three times, and the left side three times — with water only. At the end, apply soap if you wish. Salah can be performed with this bath — Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the Prophet ﷺ would not perform wudu again after the bath.
The bath after a woman's menstruation or postnatal bleeding is the same, with only two additions — cleaning the place of blood with perfumed cotton, and there is no need to undo the braid; it is enough for the water to reach the roots.
The Evidence — That Amal of Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him)
Whenever I have purified myself, at any hour of the night or day, I have prayed with that purification as much as was written for me to pray. (Sahih Bukhari)
After Fajr the Prophet ﷺ called out — Bilal, I heard the sound of your footsteps in Paradise last night; which amal do you consider the most hopeful in Islam? The answer was those two rak'ahs.
What to Do
- Open the tap only slightly — perform wudu with a thin stream; wasting water also counts as extravagance.
- Do not recite the intention aloud — just say “Bismillah”; the place of the intention is the heart.
- Rinse the mouth and nose with one handful of water — three times; and wash the hand along with the forearm.
- As soon as you have wudu, pray two rak'ahs — that is exactly the amal of Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him).
