Have you already been identified as affected by sihr (magic) or a similar affliction, and do you keep seeing your mother in your dreams — in negative scenes? There is an important explanation for this, and keys to shifa (healing), in sha Allah.
First, Understand This
When a magician performs magic on someone, he often attaches the mother's name to the victim's name — this is how a link to the mother is created in sihr. (The reverse is not true — if your mother is afflicted by sihr, it does not mean your name will be attached to hers; the only exception is if the mother was afflicted by sihr while she was pregnant.)
For this reason, the repeated negative presence of the mother in the dreams of those afflicted by sihr — a sick mother, a mother in the form of an animal, a mother whose voice has changed — is taken as evidence of sihr, and Allah knows best.
A Sign in Waking Life Too
Feeling causeless aversion, anger, or discomfort toward your mother (in reality, not in a dream) — this also indicates that either sihr has been done in the name of the whole family together, or the mother herself is afflicted by sihr.
Key 1 — The Mother Is Alive and the Relationship Is Good
If you regularly do adhkar and ruqyah yourself and yet your shifa still feels incomplete, perhaps one missing link remains — your mother. Ask your mother to recite Surah over water for you and to make dua; then drink that water and bathe with it.
If possible, when your mother makes wudu and recites from the Qur'an over the water, and you bathe with that water, many people have received special benefit, in sha Allah.
Key 2 — The Mother Has Passed Away
Your mother has passed away, your relationship was good, yet you keep seeing her in dreams? Give more sadaqah (charity) in her name and make dua for her — this will fill the missing part of your shifa, in sha Allah.
Key 3 — The Relationship Is Complicated by Sihr
If your relationship with your mother has become bad because of sihr, or if your mother herself is afflicted by sihr and does not want to accept treatment — make the intention to cut the link created by sihr:
- Every night, pray 2 rak'ahs of voluntary salah.
- Open both palms and recite Surah Al-Fatihah 3 times and Ayat al-Kursi 3 times over them.
- Make dua for every negative link created with your mother through sihr to be cut.
- Blow, then wipe over your head, shoulders, hands, stomach, and whole body, feeling as though you are cutting something away.
Understand Attentively
Work out which of these three keys matches your situation — the mother is alive and the relationship is good, the mother has passed away, or the relationship is complicated by sihr. Only when you apply the right key will the missing part of shifa be completed, in sha Allah.
If anything is unclear, read the post again — understand your own situation and apply the right part.
