What It Really Means to Keep Getting Stuck in an Exam in Your Dreams
You can't remember the answers. The question paper is blank. Time is up and nothing is written on your answer sheet. You forgot to write your name. You can't even find the exam hall... Why does this dream keep coming back even at the age of 30-40-50 — listen to the Shaykh's explanation.

You can't remember the answers. The question paper is blank. Time is up and nothing is written on your answer sheet. You forgot to write your name. You can't even find the exam hall... Why does this dream keep coming back even at the age of 30-40-50 — listen to the Shaykh's explanation.
The Real Meaning of the Dream
The Shaykh says — this is no coincidence. It is the mark of an old hasad (envy) — one that struck during your student life: in childhood, at school, or at university.
That hasad is still causing ta'attil (blockage) to this day — in career, marriage, business, and work. And every time the dream returns, understand that the effect is being renewed: the tabi'a of the hasad (the Shaytan following behind) has been keeping it fresh year after year by blowing on it again and again — and Allah knows best.
The decisive proof — many of you will notice this: you see this dream while waiting for something you desire, and that same day or within a few days, that thing falls through.
The Main Weapon — Surah Al-Falaq
In the Shaykh's words: "Alayka thumma alayka thumma alayka bi-Surat al-Falaq" — hold on, hold tightly to this Surah! It is the best and most powerful Surah for treating hasad — especially this kind of hasad.
Why? Because behind this hasad are male and female Shaytans who blow on knots — and the answer is in Al-Falaq itself:
"Wa min sharri an-naffathati fil-'uqad" (from the evil of those who blow on knots) + "Wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad" (from the evil of the envier when he envies) — the knots on your path are its target. SubhanAllah!
Surah Al-Falaq — How to Recite It
وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ ﴿٤﴾ وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ﴿٥﴾
And from the evil of the blowers in knots And from the evil of an envier when he envies." (Surah Al-Falaq 113:4-5 — Saheeh International)
100 times at once in the morning or evening — or divide it up: 10-20 times after each salah. However you do it, make sure the 100 is completed each day.
Along with it — the Dua after Isha
Every day after the Isha prayer, spend 5-10 minutes on duas of just this kind — taking up the word "hasad" again and again:
- "O Allah, nullify every ta'attil in me caused by the old hasad."
- "O Allah, undo every ta'attil of hasad; break every hasad."
- "O Allah, cut off every tabi'a that follows me with hasad."
- "O Allah, untie, blow away, and nullify every knot of hasad."
Know the Sign of Release
If you persevere, in sha Allah one day the dream itself will change —
You will see that you have reached the exam hall, you are writing your answers — and you have passed!
The Shaykh says — this is the greatest sign that relief from the old affliction has come. Keep on with the amal up until the point when you see that dream.
