Introduction — who this protocol is for

When you cannot understand the real cause of complex obstacles in life, magic, or the evil eye, you can do this amal — asking Allah for the way to a solution through Salat al-Hajah and the recitation of Surah Ad-Dukhan. In sha Allah, within a few days a sense of peace in the heart or some sign in a dream may come — this is not a guaranteed method, but only a means of pleading before Allah.

Signs for which this protocol may help

Important note: Most of the signs above can also have ordinary physical or psychological causes. So first get the necessary medical tests and treatment. Ruqyah runs alongside medical treatment, not as a replacement for it. Do not conclude with certainty that someone is affected by sihr or jinn just because a sign matches.
Translation of the meanings of the Qur'an: Saheeh International (via quran.com).

Opening duas

Make wudu and sit facing the qiblah. Make the intention: through the Word of Allah, I am asking Allah alone for healing.
I begin in the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the heavens or on the earth can cause harm; He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Recite: 3 times Nothing can cause sudden harm to the one who recites this dua in the morning and evening. (Tirmidhi 3388)
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allāh, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Meaning: Surah Al-Faatiha 1:1, Saheeh International.
Recite: 19 times Before starting the ruqyah, settle your focus and your intention, then recite.
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
I seek refuge in the perfect Words of Allah from the evil of all that He has created.
Recite: 3 times (Muslim 2708)

Purity and Salat al-Hajah

At night, before sleeping, make yourself fully pure and perform wudu. Your body, clothes and bed must be clean and pure. Sit facing the qiblah and make a firm resolve that Allah show you the cause of your hardship and the way to its solution. After wudu, pray 2 rak'ahs of voluntary salah (Salat al-Hajah) and then make a special supplication.

Ḥā, Meem. By the clear Book, Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind]. Therein [i.e., on that night] is made distinct every precise matter - [Every] matter [proceeding] from Us. Indeed, We were to send [a messenger] As mercy from your Lord. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing, Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them, if you would be certain. There is no deity except Him; He gives life and causes death. [He is] your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers. But they are in doubt, amusing themselves. Then watch for the Day when the sky will bring a visible smoke Covering the people; this is a painful torment. [They will say], "Our Lord, remove from us the torment; indeed, we are believers." How will there be for them a reminder [at that time]? And there had come to them a clear Messenger. Then they turned away from him and said, "[He was] taught [and is] a madman." Indeed, We will remove the torment for a little. Indeed, you [disbelievers] will return [to disbelief]. The Day We will strike with the greatest assault, indeed, We will take retribution. And We had already tried before them the people of Pharaoh, and there came to them a noble messenger [i.e., Moses], [Saying], "Render to me the servants of Allāh. Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger," And [saying], "Be not haughty with Allāh. Indeed, I have come to you with clear evidence. And indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me. But if you do not believe me, then leave me alone." And [finally] he called to his Lord that these were a criminal people. [Allāh said], "Then set out with My servants by night. Indeed, you are to be pursued. And leave the sea in stillness. Indeed, they are an army to be drowned." How much they left behind of gardens and springs And crops and noble sites And comfort wherein they were amused. Thus. And We caused to inherit it another people. And the heaven and earth wept not for them, nor were they reprieved. And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." Are they better or the people of Tubbaʿ and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals. And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - Except those [believers] on whom Allāh has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. Indeed, the tree of zaqqūm Is food for the sinful. Like murky oil, it boils within bellies Like the boiling of scalding water. [It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire, Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." [It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble! Indeed, this is what you used to dispute." Indeed, the righteous will be in a secure place: Within gardens and springs, Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. Thus. And We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes. They will call therein for every [kind of] fruit - safe and secure. They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. And indeed, We have eased it [i.e., the Qur’ān] in your tongue that they might be reminded. So watch, [O Muḥammad]; indeed, they are watching [for your end].

Recite: 7 times (Bukhari 5743)

📌 Self-ruqyah guideline

Consistency is the key. A little every day, but regularly.

Method — step by step

  1. Make wudu, then sit somewhere quiet facing the qiblah. Keep your phone away.
  2. Make the intention: I am asking Allah for healing through the Words of Allah; the Words have no power of their own — the power belongs to Allah.
  3. Recite the opening duas (Chapter 1).
  4. Then recite the verses (ayahs) in order. While reciting, blow lightly into both palms and pass your hands over the affected area.
  5. Recite each verse as many times as stated in the instruction box below it — there is no need to do more or less.
  6. In between, make dua wholeheartedly in your own language for 15 minutes. If tears come, do not hold them back.
  7. At the end, recite the closing surahs and duas, then blow lightly into the water.
  8. Continue every day for at least 40 days. If you miss some days, do not lose heart — simply start again.

Daily schedule

MorningAfter Fajr — verse recitation, 15 minutes
EveningAfter Maghrib — verse recitation, 15 minutes
NightBefore sleeping — closing surahs and duas, drink recited-over water
WeeklyOne ruqyah bath a week

Your own dua in your own language (15 minutes)

During or after the recitation of the verses, ask Allah in your own language. Below is a sample — you do not have to read exactly this; say it in your own words.
O Allah, You are fully aware of everything. Make me understand the real cause of my problem and the right way to its solution. Grant my heart peace and clarity.

Where to massage the recited-over oil

Focus for Finding the Root Source of the Problem: This amal is done through salah and dua; there is no need to use oil
