Ruqyah Protocol
Magic in the Chest
Ruqyah to remove sihr (magic), jinn, and suicidal whispers lodged in the chest

Introduction — who this protocol is for
"Magic in the chest" refers to sihr stuck in the chest area, or a jinn residing there, which can cause pressure and heaviness in the chest, restlessness, and various kinds of whispers (waswasa) — even thoughts of suicide or death. The recitations given here are mainly a series of duas composed with a chest-focused, offensive intention (of killing/burning away). When recited regularly, sincerely, and consistently, they bring benefit by Allah's will. It is good to rule out physical causes first through a medical examination; if the tests find nothing and the symptoms remain, continue this protocol consistently.
Signs for which this protocol may help
- You feel pressure, heaviness, or discomfort in the chest, but medical tests find no heart problem
- Thoughts of suicide or death suddenly come, with a feeling that they are rising from inside the chest
- During salah or Qur'an recitation, your chest becomes heavy and your concentration is lost
- Unusual forgetfulness or a feeling of mental confusion comes together with discomfort in the chest
- There is a specific suspicion or indication that sihr has been tied in the chest
Important note: Most of the signs above can also have ordinary physical or psychological causes. So first get the necessary medical tests and treatment. Ruqyah runs alongside medical treatment, not as a replacement for it. Do not conclude with certainty that someone is affected by sihr or jinn just because a sign matches.

Opening duas
Make wudu and sit facing the qiblah. Make the intention: through the Word of Allah, I am asking Allah alone for healing.
I begin in the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the heavens or on the earth can cause harm; He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Recite: 3 times
Nothing can cause sudden harm to the one who recites this dua in the morning and evening. (Tirmidhi 3388)
In the name of Allāh, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Meaning: Surah Al-Faatiha 1:1, Saheeh International.

I seek refuge in the perfect Words of Allah from the evil of all that He has created.
Recite: 3 times
(Muslim 2708)

Recite them a few times at the beginning, then recite the chest-focused recitations below one after another.
[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand [i.e., relax] for me my breast [with assurance]
Recite: 3 times or as many times as possible

These duas are arranged specifically for this problem. Recite them after you finish the verses.

O Allah! Burn away all the magic in my chest.
Recite: 7 times
In the name of Allah — all control over my chest is hereby nullified.
Recite: 7 times
O Allah! By Your strength and power, undo every knot tied in my chest.
Recite: 7 times
Let the one who has settled in the chest (or mind) be killed, let the one who has settled in the chest be killed, let the Shaytan of the chest be killed, let the disobedient jinn of the chest be killed, let it be killed in the chest.
Recite: Recite each sentence repeatedly a few times
O Allah, take action against the one who has settled in the chest and caused torment in the chest. O Allah, take action against the one who has tied a knot in the chest and the bosom. O Allah, take action against the one who has settled in the chest, caused torment in the chest, caused suffering in the chest, and tied a knot in the chest.
Recite: Repeat again and again
Let the magic of the chest be nullified. Let it be killed and destroyed. O Allah, destroy the chest's disobedient jinn.
Recite: Repeat again and again
Let the dweller of the chest be killed. Let the diver of the chest (the jinn) be killed. Let the one dwelling in the chest and its veins and capillaries be killed.
Recite: Repeat again and again
A figurative description of a jinn hiding deep within the body.
In the name of Allah let it be killed, in the name of Allah let it be destroyed, in the name of Allah let a fire that cannot be extinguished be lit in the chest, in the name of Allah let it be set on fire, punished, and struck by thunderbolt.
Recite: Repeat again and again
In the name of Allah let it be burned, punished, and struck by thunderbolt. In the name of Allah let it be burned in the chest. In the name of Allah let the Shaytan of the chest be burned, let the whisperer of the chest also be burned, and let the magician whose magic in the chest is not burning also be burned. In the name of Allah let it be burned in the chest. In the name of Allah let it be burned and cut off. In the name of Allah let it be destroyed in the chest.
Recite: Repeat again and again
Recite the section against the magician only when a definite source of the magic has been identified, not on mere suspicion.
And I destroyed them completely. Completely destroyed, completely destroyed, I destroyed them in the chest. Let them be struck by thunderbolt in the back of the chest and in the chest. Let them be struck by thunderbolt in the chest.
Recite: Repeat again and again
Let the Shaytan of the chest be killed, let the one who creates waswasa in the chest be killed, who whispers and causes forgetfulness. Let the Shaytan who creates abundant whispers, whispers of suicide and death in the chest, whispers of foolishness, and whispers of madness in the chest be killed.
Recite: Repeat again and again
This is an especially important section against whispers of suicide and death; if such whispers are intense or persistent, seek appropriate support alongside ruqyah.
In the name of Allah let them be punished, let every whisperer be killed, let every assistant jinn of the chest be killed, let every appointed one, observer, and guard jinn of the chest be killed. By the signs of Allah let them be killed in the chest, those who cannot be seen — let them be killed in the chest. Burn away their fortresses and their objects of worship. Let them be killed and burned in the chest.
Recite: Repeat again and again
The source mentions: after this entire recitation, the adhan may be called with the same intention (killing and burning), repeatedly.
Closing surahs and duas
End every session this way. At the end, blow into water and drink it.

The Prophet ﷺ used to recite this dua over Hasan and Husain (may Allah be pleased with them). (Bukhari 3371)

Jibril (peace be upon him) performed ruqyah over the Prophet ﷺ in this way. (Muslim 2186)
O Allah, Lord of mankind! Remove the hardship and grant healing. You are the Healer; there is no healing except Your healing — a healing that leaves no illness behind.
Recite: 7 times
(Bukhari 5743)
📌 Self-ruqyah guideline
Consistency is the key. A little every day, but regularly.
Method — step by step
- Make wudu, then sit somewhere quiet facing the qiblah. Keep your phone away.
- Make the intention: I am asking Allah for healing through the Words of Allah; the Words have no power of their own — the power belongs to Allah.
- Recite the opening duas (Chapter 1).
- Then recite the verses (ayahs) in order. While reciting, blow lightly into both palms and pass your hands over the affected area.
- Recite each verse as many times as stated in the instruction box below it — there is no need to do more or less.
- In between, make dua wholeheartedly in your own language for 15 minutes. If tears come, do not hold them back.
- At the end, recite the closing surahs and duas, then blow lightly into the water.
- Continue every day for at least 40 days. If you miss some days, do not lose heart — simply start again.
Daily schedule
| Morning | After Fajr — verse recitation, 15 minutes |
| Evening | After Maghrib — verse recitation, 15 minutes |
| Night | Before sleeping — closing surahs and duas, drink recited-over water |
| Weekly | One ruqyah bath a week |
Your own dua in your own language (15 minutes)
During or after the recitation of the verses, ask Allah in your own language. Below is a sample — you do not have to read exactly this; say it in your own words.
O Allah, destroy whatever has settled in my chest, whatever is causing distress and whispers. Open up my chest, grant tranquility to my heart, and protect me from the whispers of suicide and death.
Where to massage the recited-over oil
Focus for Magic in the Chest: On the head, neck, and chest
Supplements and weekly practices
| Recited-over water | Recite the ruqyah verses over a bottle of water and blow into it. Drink it 3 times a day: in the morning on an empty stomach, at midday, and at night before sleeping. |
| Recited-over honey | Blow into pure honey and take one spoonful every morning. It is good to recite verse 69 of Surah An-Nahl and then blow into it. |
| Recited-over olive oil | Recite the verses over olive oil, blow into it, and massage it into the affected area. It is best done at night before sleeping. |
| Black seed (nigella) | Every morning, take 7 black seeds with recited-over honey. The Prophet ﷺ said that black seed contains a cure for every disease except death. (Bukhari 5688) |
| Ruqyah bath | Recite the verses over a bucket of water and blow into it. You may also mix in seven crushed jujube leaves. Pour the water over yourself from the head down and bathe, once a week. |
| Spraying the home | Put recited-over water in a spray bottle and spray it in the corners of the house, on the doors and windows, and under the bed. |
Daily practices (amal)
Alongside ruqyah, it is these practices that give long-term protection.
| After Fajr | Surah Yasin 1 time |
| Morning and evening | The morning and evening adhkar from Hisnul Muslim, regularly |
| After Asr | Surah Al-Waqi'ah 1 time |
| At night | Surah Qaf 3 times, Surah Al-Mulk 1 time |
| Before sleeping | Ayat al-Kursi 1 time, the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, and the three Quls 3 times each. Blow into your hands and wipe them over your whole body. |
| Every day | Give sadaqah as much as you can, every day, even if only a little. Sadaqah wards off calamity. |
| Every day | The obligatory salah in congregation, istighfar 100 times, salawat upon the Prophet 100 times |
Ruqyah is a Shariah-based method of treatment; it is not a substitute for necessary medical treatment.
