Introduction — who this protocol is for

Children are purely a gift from Allah — He gives daughters to whom He wills, sons to whom He wills, and keeps whom He wills infertile. So above all, contentment with the qadar (divine decree) and patience are essential. However, if there is no specific cause found in medical treatment yet a couple has had no children for a long time, or an obstacle to conception appeared after some sudden event — in such cases, if there are other signs of magic as well, ruqyah may be performed. This protocol is arranged around the stories of the prophets who were relieved of infertility and their own duas asking for children — the story of Zakariyya and Ibrahim (peace be upon them both), in which Allah Himself granted children in the womb of an old and infertile wife.

Signs for which this protocol may help

Important note: Most of the signs above can also have ordinary physical or psychological causes. So first get the necessary medical tests and treatment. Ruqyah runs alongside medical treatment, not as a replacement for it. Do not conclude with certainty that someone is affected by sihr or jinn just because a sign matches.
Translation of the meanings of the Qur'an: Saheeh International (via quran.com).

Opening duas

Make wudu and sit facing the qiblah. Make the intention: through the Word of Allah, I am asking Allah alone for healing.
I begin in the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the heavens or on the earth can cause harm; He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Recite: 3 times Nothing can cause sudden harm to the one who recites this dua in the morning and evening. (Tirmidhi 3388)
In the name of Allāh, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Meaning: Surah Al-Faatiha 1:1, Saheeh International.
Recite: 19 times Before starting the ruqyah, settle your focus and your intention, then recite.
I seek refuge in the perfect Words of Allah from the evil of all that He has created.
Recite: 3 times (Muslim 2708)

Verses for relief from infertility

Place your hand on your lower abdomen and waist while reciting. Make the intention: just as Allah gave children to the infertile wives of Zakariyya and Ibrahim (peace be upon them both), so remove every obstacle from my path.
1
Surah Aal-i-Imraan 3:38-40
At that, Zechariah called upon his Lord, saying, "My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication." So the angels called him while he was standing in prayer in the chamber, "Indeed, Allāh gives you good tidings of John, confirming a word from Allāh and [who will be] honorable, abstaining [from women], and a prophet from among the righteous." He said, "My Lord, how will I have a boy when I have reached old age and my wife is barren?" He [the angel] said, "Such is Allāh; He does what He wills."
Recite: 7 times Intention: The story of Zakariyya (peace be upon him) asking for a child, the angels' good news, and his amazement despite his wife being infertile
2
Surah Maryam 19:4-9
He said, "My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened, and my head has filled with white, and never have I been in my supplication to You, my Lord, unhappy [i.e., disappointed]. And indeed, I fear the successors after me, and my wife has been barren, so give me from Yourself an heir Who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob. And make him, my Lord, pleasing [to You]." [He was told], "O Zechariah, indeed We give you good tidings of a boy whose name will be John. We have not assigned to any before [this] name." He said, "My Lord, how will I have a boy when my wife has been barren and I have reached extreme old age?" [An angel] said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, for I created you before, while you were nothing.'"
Recite: 3 times Intention: The secret dua of Zakariyya (peace be upon him) and the good news of Yahya in the womb of his infertile wife
3
Surah Adh-Dhaariyat 51:28-29
And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!"
Recite: 7 times Intention: Sarah's (may Allah be pleased with her) amazement — 'I am an old woman, infertile' — yet Allah's good news came true
4
Surah Ash-Shura 42:50
Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent.
Recite: 11 times Intention: Allah alone gives children to whom He wills and makes infertile whom He wills — this power is not in the hands of any magic

Prophetic duas asking for children

These verses are the prophets' own duas — the most beautiful and accepted words for asking for children. Recite them regularly every day.
5
Surah Al-Anbiyaa 21:89-90
And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while You are the best of inheritors." So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.
Recite: 11 times Intention: Rabbi la tadharni fardan — do not leave me alone; Allah made even the wife of Zakariyya (peace be upon him) able to conceive
6
Surah Hud 11:69-73
And certainly did Our messengers [i.e., angels] come to Abraham with good tidings; they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and did not delay in bringing [them] a roasted calf. But when he saw their hands not reaching for it, he distrusted them and felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not. We have been sent to the people of Lot." And his wife was standing, and she smiled. Then We gave her good tidings of Isaac and after Isaac, Jacob. She said, "Woe to me! Shall I give birth while I am an old woman and this, my husband, is an old man? Indeed, this is an amazing thing!" They said, "Are you amazed at the decree of Allāh? May the mercy of Allāh and His blessings be upon you, people of the house. Indeed, He is Praiseworthy and Honorable."

Praise to Allāh, who has granted to me in old age Ishmael and Isaac. Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplication. My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.

Recite: 7 times (Bukhari 5743)

📌 Self-ruqyah guideline

Consistency is the key. A little every day, but regularly.

Method — step by step

  1. Make wudu, then sit somewhere quiet facing the qiblah. Keep your phone away.
  2. Make the intention: I am asking Allah for healing through the Words of Allah; the Words have no power of their own — the power belongs to Allah.
  3. Recite the opening duas (Chapter 1).
  4. Then recite the verses (ayahs) in order. While reciting, blow lightly into both palms and pass your hands over the affected area.
  5. Recite each verse as many times as stated in the instruction box below it — there is no need to do more or less.
  6. In between, make dua wholeheartedly in your own language for 15 minutes. If tears come, do not hold them back.
  7. At the end, recite the closing surahs and duas, then blow lightly into the water.
  8. Continue every day for at least 40 days. If you miss some days, do not lose heart — simply start again.

Daily schedule

MorningAfter Fajr — verse recitation, 15 minutes
EveningAfter Maghrib — verse recitation, 15 minutes
NightBefore sleeping — closing surahs and duas, drink recited-over water
WeeklyOne ruqyah bath a week

Your own dua in your own language (15 minutes)

During or after the recitation of the verses, ask Allah in your own language. Below is a sample — you do not have to read exactly this; say it in your own words.
O Allah, children are Your gift alone; no created being has the power to withhold it. If any magic, hasad or curse has become an obstacle on my path to having a child, erase it by Your power. Grant me and my spouse a child who will be a comfort to the eyes. And if Your decision is something different, make my heart content with it.

Where to massage the recited-over oil
