Introduction — who this protocol is for

Sihr Mashmum refers to magic that is prepared by mixing it into a perfume, attar, incense, smoke or gift, and that enters the body through breathing. Once this magic has entered the body, it can settle in various places, such as the stomach and intestines, the heart and lungs, the head and brain, or the reproductive organs, and it produces many physical and psychological symptoms. This protocol is arranged around the verses revealed about the wind, and around duas that name every possible carrier of the magic (attar, incense, gifts, smoke, knots) and ask for them to be destroyed.

Signs for which this protocol may help

Important note: Most of the signs above can also have ordinary physical or psychological causes. So first get the necessary medical tests and treatment. Ruqyah runs alongside medical treatment, not as a replacement for it. Do not conclude with certainty that someone is affected by sihr or jinn just because a sign matches.
Translation of the meanings of the Qur'an: Saheeh International (via quran.com).

Opening duas

Make wudu and sit facing the qiblah. Make the intention: through the Word of Allah, I am asking Allah alone for healing.
I begin in the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the heavens or on the earth can cause harm; He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Recite: 3 times Nothing can cause sudden harm to the one who recites this dua in the morning and evening. (Tirmidhi 3388)
In the name of Allāh, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Meaning: Surah Al-Faatiha 1:1, Saheeh International.
Recite: 19 times Before starting the ruqyah, settle your focus and your intention, then recite.
I seek refuge in the perfect Words of Allah from the evil of all that He has created.
Recite: 3 times (Muslim 2708)

Verses to defeat scented magic spread in the air

Sihr Mashmum mainly enters the body through the air and the breath. These verses were revealed about the wind. While reciting, hold the intention that the magic will scatter and be wiped out just like the wind.
1
Surah Ibrahim 14:43
Racing ahead, their heads raised up, their glance does not come back to them, and their hearts are void.
Recite: 3 times Intention: That the heart afflicted by magic become inert, like empty wind
2
Surah Al-Hajj 22:31
Inclining [only] to Allāh, not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allāh - it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place.
Recite: 4 times Intention: That the magic be carried away by the wind and thrown far off
3
Surah Al-Israa 17:69
Or do you feel secure that He will not send you back into it [i.e., the sea] another time and send upon you a hurricane of wind and drown you for what you denied? Then you would not find for yourselves against Us an avenger.
Recite: Several times Intention: Drowning the magic like a violent, stormy wind
4
Surah Al-Ahqaf 46:24
And when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!" Rather, it is that for which you were impatient: a wind, within it a painful punishment,
Recite: Several times Intention: That the scent of the magic turn into a painful wind and return to the magician himself
5
Surah Ibrahim 14:18
The example of those who disbelieve in their Lord is [that] their deeds are like ashes which the wind blows forcefully on a stormy day; they are unable [to keep] from what they earned a [single] thing. That is what is extreme error.
Recite: Several times Intention: The effect of the magic blowing away in the wind like ashes
6
Surah Al-Baqara 2:164
Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allāh has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and earth are signs for a people who use reason.
Recite: Several times Intention: Remembering Allah's power through the changing of the winds
7
Surah Al-Baqara 2:266
Would one of you like to have a garden of palm trees and grapevines underneath which rivers flow in which he has from every fruit? But he is afflicted with old age and has weak [i.e., immature] offspring, and it is hit by a whirlwind containing fire and is burned. Thus does Allāh make clear to you [His] verses that you might give thought.
Recite: Several times Intention: That the magic be burned and destroyed in a whirlwind

The final verses for wiping out magic

At the end of the ruqyah, recite these verses and make dua for the magic to be completely dissolved.
8
Surah Al-Furqaan 25:23

9
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:180-182
Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. And peace upon the messengers. And praise to Allāh, Lord of the worlds.

📌 Self-ruqyah guideline

Consistency is the key. A little every day, but regularly.

Method — step by step

  1. Make wudu, then sit somewhere quiet facing the qiblah. Keep your phone away.
  2. Make the intention: I am asking Allah for healing through the Words of Allah; the Words have no power of their own — the power belongs to Allah.
  3. Recite the opening duas (Chapter 1).
  4. Then recite the verses (ayahs) in order. While reciting, blow lightly into both palms and pass your hands over the affected area.
  5. Recite each verse as many times as stated in the instruction box below it — there is no need to do more or less.
  6. In between, make dua wholeheartedly in your own language for 15 minutes. If tears come, do not hold them back.
  7. At the end, recite the closing surahs and duas, then blow lightly into the water.
  8. Continue every day for at least 40 days. If you miss some days, do not lose heart — simply start again.

Daily schedule

MorningAfter Fajr — verse recitation, 15 minutes
EveningAfter Maghrib — verse recitation, 15 minutes
NightBefore sleeping — closing surahs and duas, drink recited-over water
WeeklyOne ruqyah bath a week

Your own dua in your own language (15 minutes)

During or after the recitation of the verses, ask Allah in your own language. Below is a sample — you do not have to read exactly this; say it in your own words.
O Allah, if any magic has entered my nose or body through any perfume, smoke, gift or air, burn it completely and wipe it out entirely. Purify my body, mind and soul and make them healthy.

Where to massage the recited-over oil

Focus for Sihr Mashmum: The nose, forehead, head, chest and stomach

Supplements and weekly practices

Recited-over waterRecite the ruqyah verses over a bottle of water and blow into it. Drink it 3 times a day: in the morning on an empty stomach, at midday, and at night before sleeping.
Recited-over honeyBlow into pure honey and take one spoonful every morning. It is good to recite verse 69 of Surah An-Nahl and then blow into it.
Recited-over olive oilRecite the verses over olive oil, blow into it, and massage it into the affected area. It is best done at night before sleeping.
Black seed (nigella)Every morning, take 7 black seeds with recited-over honey. The Prophet ﷺ said that black seed contains a cure for every disease except death. (Bukhari 5688)
Ruqyah bathRecite the verses over a bucket of water and blow into it. You may also mix in seven crushed jujube leaves. Pour the water over yourself from the head down and bathe, once a week.
Spraying the homePut recited-over water in a spray bottle and spray it in the corners of the house, on the doors and windows, and under the bed.

Daily practices (amal)

Alongside ruqyah, it is these practices that give long-term protection.
After FajrSurah Yasin 1 time
Morning and eveningThe morning and evening adhkar from Hisnul Muslim, regularly
After AsrSurah Al-Waqi'ah 1 time
At nightSurah Qaf 3 times, Surah Al-Mulk 1 time
Before sleepingAyat al-Kursi 1 time, the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah, and the three Quls 3 times each. Blow into your hands and wipe them over your whole body.
Every dayGive sadaqah as much as you can, every day, even if only a little. Sadaqah wards off calamity.
Every dayThe obligatory salah in congregation, istighfar 100 times, salawat upon the Prophet 100 times
Ruqyah is a Shariah-based method of treatment; it is not a substitute for necessary medical treatment.
