Introduction — who this protocol is for

Jinn harassment does not always mean a severe condition like direct possession or khuruj — it can also appear as an abnormal sensation in some part of the body, pressure or fear in sleep, unrest in the home environment, or a long-lasting influence on the mind. It is important to always keep the core creed in mind — jinn are a creation of Allah, they have no independent or unlimited power; without Allah's permission they cannot harm anyone even slightly. One caution: do not go to an unfamiliar or unverified person looking for a quick solution, and do not get involved in conversation with the jinn. Our task is only to recite the Qur'an, keep up dhikr and place our reliance on Allah — the rest is with Allah.

Signs for which this protocol may help

Important note: Most of the signs above can also have ordinary physical or psychological causes. So first get the necessary medical tests and treatment. Ruqyah runs alongside medical treatment, not as a replacement for it. Do not conclude with certainty that someone is affected by sihr or jinn just because a sign matches.
Translation of the meanings of the Qur'an: Saheeh International (via quran.com).

Opening duas

Make wudu and sit facing the qiblah. Make the intention: through the Word of Allah, I am asking Allah alone for healing.
I begin in the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the heavens or on the earth can cause harm; He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Recite: 3 times Nothing can cause sudden harm to the one who recites this dua in the morning and evening. (Tirmidhi 3388)
In the name of Allāh, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Meaning: Surah Al-Faatiha 1:1, Saheeh International.
Recite: 19 times Before starting the ruqyah, settle your focus and your intention, then recite.
I seek refuge in the perfect Words of Allah from the evil of all that He has created.
Recite: 3 times (Muslim 2708)

Who the jinn are, within the limits set by Allah

At the beginning, recite these verses to bring firm belief into your heart — jinn are a creation of Allah, they have no independent or unlimited power.
1
Surah Adh-Dhaariyat 51:56
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.
Recite: 3 times Intention: Humans and jinn were created only to worship Allah — the jinn have no independent authority
2
Surah Al-Hijr 15:27
And the jinn We created before from scorching fire.
Recite: 3 times Intention: The jinn is a creation made from the fire of the scorching wind — it has no power to go beyond the command of its Creator
3
Surah Al-Jinn 72:1-15
Say, [O Muḥammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur’ān [i.e., recitation]. It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone. And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son And that our foolish one [i.e., Iblees] has been saying about Allāh an excessive transgression. And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allāh a lie. And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden [i.e., sin]. And they had thought, as you thought, that Allāh would never send anyone [as a messenger]. And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him. And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course. And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways. And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allāh upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight. And when we heard the guidance [i.e., the Qur’ān], we believed in it. And whoever believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden. And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allāh], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course. But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.'
Recite: 3 times Intention: The jinn themselves heard the Qur'an and acknowledged their own limitations
4
Surah Al-An'aam 6:128
And [mention, O Muḥammad], the Day when He will gather them together [and say], "O company of jinn, you have [misled] many of mankind." And their allies among mankind will say, "Our Lord, some of us made use of others, and we have [now] reached our term which You appointed for us." He will say, "The Fire is your residence, wherein you will abide eternally, except for what Allāh wills. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing."
Recite: 7 times Intention: On the Day of Resurrection the jinn themselves will acknowledge having misled humans — their power is temporary and subject to accountability

Verses for resisting harassment and seeking refuge

As soon as you feel whispers, fear or discomfort, recite these verses and seek refuge in Allah immediately — do not delay.
5
Surah Fussilat 41:36
And if there comes to you from Satan an evil suggestion, then seek refuge in Allāh. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
Recite: 7 times Intention: Seeking refuge in Allah immediately when you feel a satanic whisper or attack
6
Surah An-Nahl 16:98
So when you recite the Qur’ān, [first] seek refuge in Allāh from Satan, the expelled [from His mercy].
Recite: 3 times Intention: Isti'adhah before reciting the Qur'an — the first and easiest protection
7
Surah Al-Baqara 2:275
Those who consume interest cannot stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity. That is because they say, "Trade is [just] like interest." But Allāh has permitted trade and has forbidden interest. So whoever has received an admonition from his Lord and desists may have what is past, and his affair rests with Allāh. But whoever returns [to dealing in interest or usury] - those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.
Recite: 7 times Intention: A description of how a person becomes bewildered at the touch of Shaytan — it is helpless before the command of Allah

Breaking the occupation and taking back control

Occupation mainly occurs by taking the opportunity of distance from the remembrance of Allah — returning to dhikr is the main solution; reciting verses alone is not enough.
8
Surah Al-Mujaadila 58:19
Satan has overcome them and made them forget the remembrance of Allāh. Those are the party of Satan. Unquestionably, the party of Satan - they will be the losers.
Recite: 7 times Intention: When Shaytan subdues someone, the first sign is forgetting the remembrance of Allah — returning to dhikr is the path to freedom
9
Surah Az-Zukhruf 43:36
And whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Merciful - We appoint for him a devil, and he is to him a companion.
Recite: 7 times Intention: When one goes away from the remembrance of Allah, a shaytan settles in as a companion — through regular dhikr that companionship is cut off

Special duas — Jinn Harassment and Possession

These duas are arranged specifically for this problem. Recite them after you finish the verses.
O Allah! Burn away all control of the jinn that is in this patient's body and mind.
Recite: 7 times
In the name of Allah — all control over this patient's body and mind is hereby nullified.
Recite: 7 times
O Allah! With Your strength and power, undo every knot tied in this patient's body and mind.
Recite: 7 times
O Allah, release from me all the bindings and control of the jinn and the shayateen.
Recite: 7 times
O Allah, give me back my awareness and willpower, and do not give the jinn any way over me.
Recite: 7 times
O Allah, purify my home and body from all harm of the jinn, and make them a protected fortress through Your remembrance.
Recite: 7 times

End every session this way. At the end, blow into water and drink it.

Say, "He is Allāh, [who is] One, Allāh, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent."
Recite: 3 times Intention: Strengthening the heart by declaring tawhid
2
Surah Al-Falaq 113:1-5
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak From the evil of that which He created And from the evil of darkness when it settles And from the evil of the blowers in knots And from the evil of an envier when he envies."
Recite: 7 times Intention: Refuge from magic, hasad (envy) and the evil of the night
3
Surah An-Naas 114:1-6
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, The Sovereign of mankind, The God of mankind, From the evil of the retreating whisperer - Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind - From among the jinn and mankind".
Recite: 7 times Intention: Refuge from the waswasa (whispers) of mankind and jinn
I entrust you to the protection of the perfect Words of Allah from every Shaytan, every venomous creature and every harmful evil eye.
Recite: 3 times The Prophet ﷺ used to recite this dua over Hasan and Husain (may Allah be pleased with them). (Bukhari 3371)
In the name of Allah I perform ruqyah over you, from everything that harms you, from the evil of every soul and of the envier's eye. May Allah heal you. In the name of Allah I perform ruqyah over you.
Recite: 3 times Jibril (peace be upon him) performed ruqyah over the Prophet ﷺ in this way. (Muslim 2186)
O Allah, Lord of mankind! Remove the hardship and grant healing. You are the Healer; there is no healing except Your healing — a healing that leaves no illness behind.
Recite: 7 times (Bukhari 5743)

📌 Self-ruqyah guideline

Consistency is the key. A little every day, but regularly.

Method — step by step

  1. Make wudu, then sit somewhere quiet facing the qiblah. Keep your phone away.
  2. Make the intention: I am asking Allah for healing through the Words of Allah; the Words have no power of their own — the power belongs to Allah.
  3. Recite the opening duas (Chapter 1).
  4. Then recite the verses (ayahs) in order. While reciting, blow lightly into both palms and pass your hands over the affected area.
  5. Recite each verse as many times as stated in the instruction box below it — there is no need to do more or less.
  6. In between, make dua wholeheartedly in your own language for 15 minutes. If tears come, do not hold them back.
  7. At the end, recite the closing surahs and duas, then blow lightly into the water.
  8. Continue every day for at least 40 days. If you miss some days, do not lose heart — simply start again.

Daily schedule

MorningAfter Fajr — verse recitation, 15 minutes
EveningAfter Maghrib — verse recitation, 15 minutes
NightBefore sleeping — closing surahs and duas, drink recited-over water
WeeklyOne ruqyah bath a week

Your own dua in your own language (15 minutes)

During or after the recitation of the verses, ask Allah in your own language. Below is a sample — you do not have to read exactly this; say it in your own words.
O Allah, my body, my mind and every corner of my home are Your creation and under Your control. If any jinn or shaytan has wrongfully exerted control over me, break all its bindings and return to me my full awareness, willpower and peace. Keep me and my family in Your protection.

Where to massage the recited-over oil

Focus for Jinn Harassment and Possession: The crown of the head, the forehead, the chest, the neck and shoulders, and the palms of both hands

Recited-over olive oilRecite the verses over olive oil, blow into it, and massage it into the affected area. It is best done at night before sleeping.
Black seed (nigella)Every morning, take 7 black seeds with recited-over honey. The Prophet ﷺ said that black seed contains a cure for every disease except death. (Bukhari 5688)
Ruqyah bathRecite the verses over a bucket of water and blow into it. You may also mix in seven crushed jujube leaves. Pour the water over yourself from the head down and bathe, once a week.
