Introduction — who this protocol is for

Hizb as-Sayf al-Qati' means 'the Hizb of the Sharp Sword' — it is a protective hizb woven from a collection of selected verses of the Qur'an, to be recited continuously against the plots of enemies, old and powerful magic and disbelief, attacks by rebellious jinn, and the evil eye and hasad (envy). It is not a protocol for a single symptom, but rather a complete spiritual fortress — its true benefit is gained only by reciting the whole hizb regularly and consistently.

Signs for which this protocol may help

Important note: Most of the signs above can also have ordinary physical or psychological causes. So first get the necessary medical tests and treatment. Ruqyah runs alongside medical treatment, not as a replacement for it. Do not conclude with certainty that someone is affected by sihr or jinn just because a sign matches.
Translation of the meanings of the Qur'an: Saheeh International (via quran.com).

Opening duas

Make wudu and sit facing the qiblah. Make the intention: through the Word of Allah, I am asking Allah alone for healing.
I begin in the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the heavens or on the earth can cause harm; He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Recite: 3 times Nothing can cause sudden harm to the one who recites this dua in the morning and evening. (Tirmidhi 3388)
In the name of Allāh, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Meaning: Surah Al-Faatiha 1:1, Saheeh International.
Recite: 19 times Before starting the ruqyah, settle your focus and your intention, then recite.
I seek refuge in the perfect Words of Allah from the evil of all that He has created.
Recite: 3 times (Muslim 2708)

Surah Al-An'aam 6:1
[All] praise is [due] to Allāh, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord.
Recite: 1 time (as a continuous hizb) Intention: Allah alone is the Creator of the heavens and the earth and of light and darkness; reliance is placed on Him
2
Surah As-Saaffaat 37:98
And they intended for him a plan [i.e., harm], but We made them the most debased.
Recite: 1 time (as a continuous hizb) Intention: Allah alone makes the enemy's scheming fail and brings it low (the example of Ibrahim, peace be upon him)
3
Surah Al-Anbiyaa 21:88

And she certainly determined [to seduce] him, and he would have inclined to her had he not seen the proof [i.e., sign] of his Lord. And thus [it was] that We should avert from him evil and immorality. Indeed, he was of Our chosen servants.
Recite: 1 time (as a continuous hizb) Intention: Allah's proof protects from evil desires and indecency
5

Indeed, those who dispute concerning the signs of Allāh without [any] evidence having come to them - there is not within their breasts except pride, [the extent of] which they cannot reach. So seek refuge in Allāh. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Seeing.

There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become distinct from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in ṭāghūt and believes in Allāh has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allāh is Hearing and Knowing.
Recite: 1 time (as a continuous hizb) Intention: Rejecting Taghut and believing in Allah is the firmest handhold
8
Surah Al-Kahf 18:88

For him [i.e., each one] are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allāh. Indeed, Allāh will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allāh intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. 📌 Self-ruqyah guideline

Consistency is the key. A little every day, but regularly.

Method — step by step

  1. Make wudu, then sit somewhere quiet facing the qiblah. Keep your phone away.
  2. Make the intention: I am asking Allah for healing through the Words of Allah; the Words have no power of their own — the power belongs to Allah.
  3. Recite the opening duas (Chapter 1).
  4. Then recite the verses (ayahs) in order. While reciting, blow lightly into both palms and pass your hands over the affected area.
  5. Recite each verse as many times as stated in the instruction box below it — there is no need to do more or less.
  6. In between, make dua wholeheartedly in your own language for 15 minutes. If tears come, do not hold them back.
  7. At the end, recite the closing surahs and duas, then blow lightly into the water.
  8. Continue every day for at least 40 days. If you miss some days, do not lose heart — simply start again.

Daily schedule

EveningAfter Maghrib — verse recitation, 15 minutes

Your own dua in your own language (15 minutes)

During or after the recitation of the verses, ask Allah in your own language. Below is a sample — you do not have to read exactly this; say it in your own words.
O Allah, no scheme, magic or envy of our enemies can harm us unless You will it. Create a ring of protection around us and our family, and remove every obstacle from our path.
