Introduction — who this protocol is for

Sihr (magic) is done in various forms. One type is done specifically with the intention of causing a burning sensation and heat in the body, so that the affected person constantly suffers as if fire were burning in the body. The signs of this kind of sihr are different from an ordinary fever or skin disease: it does not ease with medicine or with treatment from a skin specialist, it actually increases when ruqyah is begun, and it often moves around from one part of the body to another. In the Qur'an, although Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was thrown into the fire, by Allah's command that fire became cool and safe for him. This is the main foundation of this protocol: fire does not burn by itself, and it cannot harm anyone without Allah's permission.

Signs for which this protocol may help

Important note: Most of the signs above can also have ordinary physical or psychological causes. So first get the necessary medical tests and treatment. Ruqyah runs alongside medical treatment, not as a replacement for it. Do not conclude with certainty that someone is affected by sihr or jinn just because a sign matches.

Opening duas

Make wudu and sit facing the qiblah. Make the intention: through the Word of Allah, I am asking Allah alone for healing.
I begin in the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the heavens or on the earth can cause harm; He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Recite: 3 times Nothing can cause sudden harm to the one who recites this dua in the morning and evening. (Tirmidhi 3388)
In the name of Allāh, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
Meaning: Surah Al-Faatiha 1:1, Saheeh International.
Recite: 19 times Before starting the ruqyah, settle your focus and your intention, then recite.
I seek refuge in the perfect Words of Allah from the evil of all that He has created.
Recite: 3 times (Muslim 2708)

The Main Verses for Breaking Magic

While reciting, place your hand on your chest, and press on the place in your body where you feel the burning.
1
Surah Al-Baqara 2:102
And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Hārūt and Mārūt. But they [i.e., the two angels] do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic]." And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allāh. And they [i.e., people] learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But they [i.e., the Children of Israel] certainly knew that whoever purchased it [i.e., magic] would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew.
Recite: 7 times Intention: The Root Source of Magic and Its Emptiness
2
Surah Al-A'raaf 7:117-122
And We inspired to Moses, "Throw your staff," and at once it devoured what they were falsifying. So the truth was established, and abolished was what they were doing. And they [i.e., Pharaoh and his people] were overcome right there and became debased. And the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allāh]. They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds, The Lord of Moses and Aaron."
Recite: 7 times Intention: The staff of Musa (peace be upon him) that swallowed up the magic
3
Surah Yunus 10:79-82
And Pharaoh said, "Bring to me every learned magician." So when the magicians came, Moses said to them, "Throw down whatever you will throw." And when they had thrown, Moses said, "What you have brought is [only] magic. Indeed, Allāh will expose its worthlessness. Indeed, Allāh does not amend the work of corrupters. And Allāh will establish the truth by His words, even if the criminals dislike it."
Recite: 7 times Intention: Allah renders the work of magicians void
4
Surah Taa-Haa 20:65-70
They said, "O Moses, either you throw or we will be the first to throw." He said, "Rather, you throw." And suddenly their ropes and staffs seemed to him from their magic that they were moving [like snakes]. And he sensed within himself apprehension, did Moses. We [i.e., Allāh] said, "Fear not. Indeed, it is you who are superior. And throw what is in your right hand; it will swallow up what they have crafted. What they have crafted is but the trick of a magician, and the magician will not succeed wherever he is." So the magicians fell down in prostration. They said, "We have believed in the Lord of Aaron and Moses."
Recite: 7 times Intention: The magician's trickery does not succeed anywhere

They said, "Burn him and support your gods - if you are to act." We [i.e., Allāh] said, "O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham." And they intended for him a plan [i.e., harm], but We made them the greatest losers.

And hold firmly to the rope of Allāh all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allāh upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. Allāh - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. Recite: 7 times (Bukhari 5743)

📌 Self-ruqyah guideline

Consistency is the key. A little every day, but regularly.

Method — step by step

  1. Make wudu, then sit somewhere quiet facing the qiblah. Keep your phone away.
  2. Make the intention: I am asking Allah for healing through the Words of Allah; the Words have no power of their own — the power belongs to Allah.
  3. Recite the opening duas (Chapter 1).
  4. Then recite the verses (ayahs) in order. While reciting, blow lightly into both palms and pass your hands over the affected area.
  5. Recite each verse as many times as stated in the instruction box below it — there is no need to do more or less.
  6. In between, make dua wholeheartedly in your own language for 15 minutes. If tears come, do not hold them back.
  7. At the end, recite the closing surahs and duas, then blow lightly into the water.
  8. Continue every day for at least 40 days. If you miss some days, do not lose heart — simply start again.

Daily schedule

MorningAfter Fajr — verse recitation, 15 minutes
EveningAfter Maghrib — verse recitation, 15 minutes
NightBefore sleeping — closing surahs and duas, drink recited-over water
WeeklyOne ruqyah bath a week

Your own dua in your own language (15 minutes)

During or after the recitation of the verses, ask Allah in your own language. Below is a sample — you do not have to read exactly this; say it in your own words.
O Allah, if anyone has done magic to cause a burning, fiery sensation in my body, render it ineffective. Just as You made the fire cool and safe for Ibrahim (peace be upon him), so too remove every burning sensation from my body and grant me coolness and good health.

Where to massage the recited-over oil

Focus for Magic Burned in Fire: On the place where you feel the burning, and on the chest, the back, and both palms

Supplements and weekly practices

Recited-over waterRecite the ruqyah verses over a bottle of water and blow into it. Drink it 3 times a day: in the morning on an empty stomach, at midday, and at night before sleeping.
Recited-over honeyBlow into pure honey and take one spoonful every morning. It is good to recite verse 69 of Surah An-Nahl and then blow into it.
Recited-over olive oilRecite the verses over olive oil, blow into it, and massage it into the affected area. It is best done at night before sleeping.
Black seed (nigella)Every morning, take 7 black seeds with recited-over honey. The Prophet ﷺ said that black seed contains a cure for every disease except death. (Bukhari 5688)
Ruqyah bathRecite the verses over a bucket of water and blow into it. You may also mix in seven crushed jujube leaves. Pour the water over yourself from the head down and bathe, once a week.
Spraying the homePut recited-over water in a spray bottle and spray it in the corners of the house, on the doors and windows, and under the bed.

After AsrSurah Al-Waqi'ah 1 time
At nightSurah Qaf 3 times, Surah Al-Mulk 1 time

Every dayGive sadaqah as much as you can, every day, even if only a little. Sadaqah wards off calamity.
Every dayThe obligatory salah in congregation, istighfar 100 times, salawat upon the Prophet 100 times
Ruqyah is a Shariah-based method of treatment; it is not a substitute for necessary medical treatment.
